Barbecue Pork Chops

minced onions to taste
1 cup tomato sauce or tomato puree
1 cup water
3 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Mix these ingredients and bring to a boil.
Sprinkle some flour on each chop and place them in a pan to brown them on both sides in cooking oil.
Put the pork chops on the grill and grill on medium heat. Depending on the thickness of the chops, you may want to grill for a few minutes before adding any barbecue sauce. Baste with the barbecue sauce, turning often to keep from burning.

About Bob Blick

Although I currently have over a dozen websites online, I started up realmencooking.com to share my passion and knowledge for barbecuing. I want this to be a fun and informative site and plan to write basically the way I talk.

    Define ‘medium’ heat. 350? 300? 250? Thanks.

I think different barbecuers will give you different temperatures. I am talking about 350 degrees. The key, though, is I don’t want hot flames underneath. With the new gas grills with 3 or more burners, it’s easier to get the results you want. I have my 2 left burners turned about halfway between the low and high settings, and the burner I am not putting the meats over is set to high. This gives me a good temperature (around 350 degrees)and keeps from burning the meat.
